Visas for Family.

Partnership Visas

  • Partner Visa (820 801)

The 820 and 801 Partner Visa Pathway is a two-stage process for applicants already in Australia. The Partner (Provisional) Visa (820) is the first stage. It allows applicants in genuine and ongoing relationships with Australian citizens, permanent residents, or eligible New Zealand citizens to live, work, and study in Australia temporarily while their partner visa is processed.

The subsequent Partner (Permanent) Visa (801) is typically applied for about two years later. It grants permanent residency, enabling holders to live, work, and study in Australia indefinitely and access social security benefits.

Together, these visas provide a vital pathway for couples seeking to remain together in Australia.

  • Partner Visa (309 100)

The 309 and 100 Partner Visa Pathway is a two-stage process for applicants who are outside of Australia. The Partner (Provisional) Visa (3901) is the first stage. It allows applicants in genuine and ongoing relationships with Australian citizens, permanent residents, or eligible New Zealand citizens to live, work, and study in Australia temporarily while their partner visa is processed.

The subsequent Partner (Migrant) Visa (100) is typically applied for about two years later. It grants permanent residency, enabling holders to live, work, and study in Australia indefinitely and access social security benefits.

Together, these visas provide a vital pathway for couples seeking to reunite in Australia.
