Partnership Based Visas

  • Work Visa

    Work visas for partners provide an excellent opportunity for couples, including partners of New Zealand citizens, residents, and some temporary visa holders, to live and work together. As for the partners joining them they, they include demonstrating a genuine and stable relationship, good health, meeting character checks, sufficient financial support, and, if applicable, arrangements for dependent children.

    Visa length and conditions will depend on the supporting partner’s entitlement to be in New Zealand.

  • Visitor Visa

    Visitor Visas for partners allow couples, including partners of New Zealand citizens, residents, and some temporary visa holders, to live together. As for the partner joining them, the general requirements include demonstrating a genuine and stable relationship, good health, meeting character checks, sufficient financial support,. D

    Visa length and conditions will depend on the supporting partner’s/parent’s entitlement to be in New Zealand.

  • Resident Visa

    Eligible partners of New Zealand citizens and residents may be able to apply for a resident visa in their own right.

    Eligible partners can also be included with an applicant when they apply for a resident visa in another category.

    Applicants must have lived together in a genuine and stable relationship for at least 12 months.

Dependent Child Visas

  • Student Visa

    The Dependent Child Student Visa is designed for dependent children of New Zealand citizens, residents, or work or student visa holders. It allows these children to enrol in primary or secondary education at New Zealand institutions.

    Dependent Children Student Visa holders are not subject to international student fees.

  • Visitor Visa

    The Dependent Child Visitor Visa is designed for dependent children of New Zealand citizens, residents, or work or student visa holders. This visa is suitable for young children who are under five years old and allows them to be in New Zealand with their families.

    Once a child reaches the age of five, they can apply for a Depdendent Child Student Visa.

  • Resident Visa

    Dependent children of New Zealand citizens and residents may be able to apply for a resident visa in their own right.

    Dependent children can also be included with an applicant when they apply for a resident visa in another category.

    Children may be biological, formally adopted or customary adopted.
